Redirect is a Chrome extension that redirects distracting websites to your goals. It is built so that your data stays on your device.

What Redirect stores

Redirect saves the following only in your browser, using Chrome's local extension storage: your rules and their settings, active pauses, your goals, redirect counts per day, and a log of pauses including any reasons you typed. You can export this data to a file and delete it by removing the extension.

What Redirect does not do

Redirect has no account, no analytics and no tracking. It does not send your browsing history, rules or any other data to the developer or to any server we run. It does not sell or share data, and it does not show ads.

Third party services

To show site icons next to your rules, the extension loads favicons from Google's public favicon service. That request includes the domain of the site, for example youtube.com, so Google can see which domains appear in your rules. No other information is included.

Permissions and why they are needed

• alarmsWakes the extension when a pause or schedule ends, so redirects start on time.

This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. If you type a goal on the home page, it is saved only in your own browser.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
